ANNOUNCEMENT

02/12/2025: We’re excited to announce that the AIROC 2026 – Open webpage is now officially live. This year AIROC Open invites participants to develop their own robotics solutions aligned with the current season’s theme that solves a real-world problem. It is an exciting and innovative competition that invites teams to push the boundaries of innovation in numerous sectors, with a focus on pushing the boundaries of human inventiveness and promoting breakthrough ideas.

THEME: PROJECT ATMOS - Designing Tomorrow's Skies

Invisible pollutants, drifting micro-toxins, and unstable climate patterns continue to suffocate cities and ecosystems. To protect the future, a new global initiative emerges: Project Atmos, a bold mission to reclaim Earth’s atmosphere and return clean skies to every corner of the world.

Powered by breakthroughs in AI-enhanced air monitoring, autonomous purification drones, and atmospheric renewal systems, nations now collaborate at unprecedented scale. Sensors woven through smart cities predict pollution before it spreads. Forest-sized air scrubbers revive urban spaces. High-altitude robots patrol the skies, neutralizing harmful particles and restoring atmospheric balance.

This year’s challenge invites participants to design visionary solutions that combat air pollution through robotics, AI, environmental technology, and creative engineering. Teams will build systems that detect, filter, reduce, or prevent airborne contaminants — forging innovations that protect human health, strengthen climate resilience, and bring hope back to the horizon.

OBJECTIVE

“By advancing Project Atmos, Students and innovators shape a future where clean air is universal, technology works in harmony with nature, and the skies become a symbol of renewal rather than a warning.”
